Finally -- an Oktoberfest celebration that the whole family can enjoy! For our October local food event, Simple, Good, and Tasty is partnering with our friends at the Black Dog Cafe and Flat Earth Brewing Company in St. Paul to bring you delicious local foods and brews. Yes, we'll have beer, and yes, it will be a family friendly event. Just like the Super Bowl. Or Thanksgiving.
For just $15, beer drinkers will get a locally sourced and prepared bratwurst (from Prairie Pride), sausage, or hot dog, potato salad (made with farmers market potatoes and Prairie Pride bacon) or chips, apple crisp, and 3 tastings of beer (Mummy Train Pumpkin Ale, Angry Planet Ale, and Cygnus X-1 Porter) from Flat Earth. Kids and teetotalers have the same options, substituting Flat Earth's homemade soda for the beer, for just $9.00.
