Pastureland Offers $1 Off for SGT Butter and Cheese Lovers

From the PastureLand website:

PastureLand 100% grass-fed organic dairy products are handcrafted by artisan butter and cheese makers with the milk of cows that spend their days grazing the pastures on our farms in Southeast Minnesota.

Our organic Summer Gold™ cultured butter and artisan cheeses are known for their exquisite taste and quality, and get their outstanding flavor and grass-fed nutrition from the lush pasture grasses that the cows graze from April through November.

I'm a big fan of the PastureLand cooperative and Steve Young-Burns, who runs it. Steve is always on the forefront of good food in general -- and the dairy industry in particular -- and he's taught me a lot about the challenges farmers face.

Just as importantly, PastureLand produces a fantastic group of products. All their cheeses are excellent, but I especially like PastureLand's Goodhue Grass-Fed Gouda (which I'm hoping to see back in stock soon), Farmdog Raw Milk Blue, and Meadowlark cheddar. When it comes to butter, there's none better. PastureLand butter is distinctive, flavorful, and rich. It's served at several fine restaurants in the Twin Cities, and you can find it at all the co-ops. If you haven't tried it, you must.

Which brings me to the real point of this post. Our friends at PastureLand are hoping our exclusive Simple, Good, and Tasty coupon will provide the incentive you need to try something new. The coupon gets you "$1 off the purchase of any PastureLand butter or cheese in any store that carries PastureLand products" from now to May 1, 2011. That means you can use it for butter, of course, but we're also hoping you'll try one of their excellent cheeses and fall in love with it, just like I did.
