According to Bill and Janet Butler - Butler Farms is a small sheep dairy with a focus on farmstead cheesemaking, located in Whitehall, WI. Though not certified organic, Butler Farms follows sustainable and organic practices. The sheep are raised outdoors on clean pastures, and no hormones or antibiotics are ever given to the animals. Some of the cheeses produced at Butler Farms include feta, ricotta, camembert and aged tomme. While direct farm sales are possible, Butler Farms also sells their cheeses at the Dane County Farmers' Market in Madison on Saturdays from late April to early November.
