According to Tony and Sheila Huls - Oak Grove Organics is a ten-year-old farm run by Tony and Sheila Huls. The Huls family farms 290 acres. Tony and Sheila, along with son Jacob, 4, and daughter Megan, 2, raise cows for both grass-fed organic beef and for dairy. A small amount of bulls are raised for meat and grass finished. Oak Grove Organics has practiced organic farming for 10 years, and was certified organic in March 2004 by Certified Organic, Inc. The cattle are raised naturally without the use of antibiotics or added hormones. Growing organically allows the cows to get exercise, fresh air and sun daily. Organic farming is a way to ensure that this land will be available for future generations, as well as providing the consumer with the highest quality and best tasting milk, buttermilk, butter and cheese.
