- Smoked trout parfait - sesame crisp, frissee micro cilantro, heirloom tomato, lime, saffron viniagrette
- Soup and salad - gazpacho consomme shot, chevre air, garden greens, beet tartare, cucumber carpaccio

Last November, when we first profiled The Marsh, we mentioned the delicious food, the locally sourced and organic ingredients, the talented chef David Owen Jones, and the warm comfortable atmosphere. The fact that it is located inside a health club -- ahem, I mean wellness center -- may be off-putting for some who equate health food with energy bars and protein shakes. But for the rest of us who believe real food -- food that's created sustainably, ethically and deliciously -- has the power to nourish, strengten and heal, the location is just perfect.
"Food-Powered Health" will be the focus of Simple, Good and Tasty's July Food Event held at The Marsh, outside on the expansive deck (weather permitting) overlooking a stunning scene of wetlands, wildlife and sunsets. The view is so beautiful, it is a favorite spot for wedding ceremonies and Tai Chi classes; and you can be sure that Chef David will make sure that the view on your plate will be equally tantalizing. We'll even offer fodder for dinner conversation with a line-up of speakers who will talk about food's effect on health and happiness.

- When: Thursday, July 15, 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. (drinks and snacks); 7:00 p.m. dinner on the deck.
- Cost: $55 for 4 great courses. Beer and wine extra.

And if you can't find a babysitter, The Marsh will even take care of that. Its Kids' Club will stay open late that evening. The cost is $3 per hour for members; $5 per hour for everyone else. Reservations are required; call 952-930-8520.
