Simple, Good and Tasty is teaming up with with Ramsey County Library to bring you a series of events on the issue of good, local, whole foods.
The third event of the series will be a panel discussion on "the true cost of food"... A new local food system sounds great, so what's the catch? A panel of leaders in the local food movement will discuss organic, local and sustainable foods - costs, benefits and controversy - and will also offer tangible ways for everyone to get involved in the local food movement. Speakers will be Liz McMann of Mississippi Market Co-op, Mark Muller of Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, Jill Grunewald of Healthful Elements, and Courtney Tchida of the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture and Cornercopia Student Farm.
