Please come to our second annual pig roast and potluck! SGT invites EVERYONE - families, friends, food lovers, kids, seniors, bicyclists, professional athletes, pop artists, out of work actors, postal workers, business people, journalists, engineers, software consultants, heath club workers, stay-at-home moms, gardeners, farmers, etc. (the list goes on) to our most anticipated event of the year.
Last year's pig roast and potluck on Boom Island was attended by more than 150 people who enjoyed Hidden Stream Farm pig, Brasa chicken, Birchwood Cafe lemonade, home canned veggies, and lots more.
This year's guests will again enjoy a delicious roasted pig from Hidden Stream Farm, along with all sorts of delicious homemade foods. Bring a new favorite dish, an old family recipe, something you grew in your garden, or even something you picked up at the farmers' market on the way over. We'll make it even more special by having the great folks from Youth Farm there, ready to tell you all about the terrific work they're doing to create urban gardens and to make good food accessible in urban areas.
