According to Danielle Boerson - Fresh salad greens, pastured pork, and heritage breed duck eggs are just a few of the foods we grow at Boerson Farm. Our CSA is centered around the seasons so that our customers can enjoy fresh, naturally grown foods for 10 months out of the year. In spring we focus mainly on greens, scallions, herbs and over-wintered parsnips. Summer gives way to an alphabetical bounty of fruits and vegetables, from arugula to zucchini. With fall, the focus shifts to root crops, potatoes and squashes. For the meat lover, we raise Tamworth hogs on pasture. Known as "the bacon pig", Tamworths thrive when given the opportunity to forage. Our herd enjoys a perennial grass mix, clover, apples in season and or course, plenty of rich soil!
