According to Quentin and Mary Carpenter - Carpenters Farm has been raising pesticide, insecticide and herbicide-free produce for almost a quarter of a century. The farm is also home to sheep, chickens and turkeys, who keep pest levels down and contribute to the natural compost. All produce is hand-picked, hand-washed, and hand-sorted. This ensures a high level of quality, which is important to the Carpenters, since they are also eating the produce! All of the animals are raised from birth, without the use of hormones or antibiotics. All products are available at the Dane County Farmers Market in Madison.
