According to David & Florence Minar - Cedar Summit has been a family dairy farm for three generations. In an effort to sustain their farm for future generations, Dave and Florence Minar have adopted a grazing system where all animals are pastured on the land most of the year. Cedar Summit Farm strives to provide their community with a variety of meat products and has diversified their dairy operation to include steers and hogs. The Minars are licensed retail food handlers and are proud to be a part of their community's food supply. Many consumers are generations removed from farming and have no clear idea of where their food is grown. You can be an important link in the effort to create a food system in which consumers have a real connection to the farm. Everyone has their own doctor, dentist and banker. The Minar family at Cedar Summit wants to be your farmer. Visitors are always welcome to our creamery where you can watch processing through a window'processing starts early in the morning and is usually done by noon. Farm tours must be scheduled with a minimum of 10 people and a fee of $5.00 per person. Call to make arrangements. Mon-Fri 9-6 and Sat 8-12.
