The Community Supported Garden at La Vista is beginning its 10th season as a 100+ member CSA. We feature sustainably grown vegetables, herbs and flowers during our 27 week season from mid-May through mid-November. Folks become shareholders through the purchase of a weekly or every-other-week share.
Our project is located on scenic bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. The farm is part of the Oblate Ecological Initiative and is connected with the La Vista Ecological Learning Center. Both La Vista and the ELC offer opportunities for farm tours, seasonal celebrations, shareholder potlucks, and cooking classes.
In addition to the regular 27 week season, we also offer a 5 week "Spring Greens" share from late March through early May for $35. This consists of 10+ delicious spring greens that we grow in-ground in our greenhouse as well as out in the field.
