According to Ronda Jemtegaard - We are dedicated to conserving rare and heritage breeds, and keep only small easy-care livestock. Our farm is diversified and organically managed. Our pastured flock consists primarily of rare primitive American Soay sheep and British Soay sheep. Our sheep, American Buff Geese, endangered pigs, as well as heritage breeds of chickens are rotated through our organically managed pastures, creating a more sustainable farm using holistic management techniques, which provide better health for our flock, our pastures, our gardens and ourselves. Our livestock are pastured year round, and our sheep receive quality hay when the pasture growth slows. Our poultry receive 100% certified organic whole grains and are pastured year round. Our bees are managed without any chemicals at any time, our raised garden beds produce quality food, and our hens produce a colorful assortment of highest quality eggs, many of which we hatch, selling premium purebred chicks.
