According to Josh Bryceson - The May Farm Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a vegetable and small livestock farm, and agricultural training center operated through a non-profit, the Minnesota Food Association (MFA). 2006 will be our second year of operation. In 2005, our first year in operation, we worked with Hunger Solutions Minnesota to bring 36 shares of the garden (7 acres of 20+ different kinds of vegetables) to 12 different food banks in the Twin Cities, as well as selling 60 individual shares to families in the area. In 2006 we look forward to continuing that connection with the hunger community and finding a way to increase the amount of produce we are bringing into the food shelves as well as increasing our individual shares and Farmers Market sales. The May Farm sits in the middle of 1000 acres of wilderness just South-West of Marine on St. Croix. The ecological diversity is great for insect balance in the garden and the isolation guarantees that the crops we are growing are not being cross pollinated with genetically modified crops. We deliver to drop sites or to homes (we only use biodiesel fuels), or pick your produce up at the farm. Produce, chickens and eggs are available.
