The restaurant is the creation of Barclay Graebner the restaurateur who opened her first bakery, Blu Dog Bakery, in South Beach, Miami at the age of 19. During her career, she also formed a Food Cooperative for Vegans and Vegetarians and it was during this time that she discovered the historic 1930's house in the Wynwood district was the impetus for Morgans Restaurant.
