According to Jim Goodman or Rebecca Goodman - Northwood Farm is a certified organic dairy farm that provides fresh milk to a local cheese producer. We also market our beef directly from the farm and at the Dane County Farmers' Market in Madison, WI. Our beef products are available throughout the year. We offer a wide variety of cuts, including roasts, briskets, sirloins, and strip steaks. 1/4 & 1/3 lb. hamburger patties are available, as well as 1lb. chubs. All-beef bratwurst and hot dogs are also offered. Our cows are raised according to organic standards and are predomiantly grass-fed. For "dessert", they are supplemented with our home grown certified organic feed, which they love. During the winter months, the cows enjoy harvested stored grass from our farm. Though the small slaughterhouse facility that we use is not certified organic, the meat is raised organically until slaughter. We welcome visits and on farm pick-up.
