According to Christine Doherty - The Lands at Hillside Farms is a non-profit farm-based educational organization with a working dairy farm. We bottle our own milk under the label Hillside Gold. Our cows are pastured every grazing day of the year. We do not use chemical pesticides or fertilizers on our pastures; our cows are never given rBGH. In addition to bottling milk in glass bottles, we make our own butter and ice cream.Our mission is to preserve land, history, and promote lifestyle choices which are healthy, conservation-minded, and practical. Each mission component will be demonstrated through family-oriented educational programs, sustainable agricultural activities, and living history based on strong moral and ethical principles.
