Welcome to the States Inn and Ranch, a 60 acre working San Juan Island ranch with lodging in great rooms, scratch cooked breakfasts, hiking trails, and livestock including, sheep, alpacas, and horses. In a peaceful valley a few miles from Friday Harbor, Washington the B&B at the ranch makes an ideal base camp for enjoying the wonders of the San Juan Islands. The Bed and Breakfast is only 90 miles south of Vancouver, BC, Canada, and just a few miles by boat or ferry from Victoria, British Columbia. Accommodations at the Inn range from cozy fireplace nooks to a spacious two bedroom suite ideal for families or couples. Each room or suite has a private bath. States Inn and Ranch is the ideal lodging for your visit to San Juan Island in northern Puget Sound, only 90 miles north of Seattle. Fully accessible accommodations available. Although we are a working ranch, you get to relax. Visit with our animals, find new birds on our trails through woods and wetlands, read a good book or just enjoy the views across the valley. States Inn & Ranch also features excellent equestrian facilities for your enjoyment and convenience, including boarding and seasonal horseback riding.San Juan Island, our neighboring islands, Whatcom, Island & Skagit Counties have great farmers, ranchers and suppliers that help us make the healthiest, best tasting, freshest food you can eat. We believe in sustainable agriculture and strive to put fresh, locally produced foods on our table. Many of our guests can't decide whether their room or their breakfast is the favorite part of staying with us on San Juan Island. Dinner is available for groups and large parties. We can create a memorable meal or work with some of our great island caterers to create the special event of your choice.Just a note: although we have WiFi and Internet access, we do not have Television or DVD/Video equipment in our Inn or rooms.
