I realize I'm going out on a limb here, but I've organized a dinner out for those of us who want to try some local, sustainable food at a great a Twin Cities restaurant in the company of friends and like-minded eaters. I'm hoping that talking with the chef and exploring the restaurant, its philosophies, and its processes will be part of the fun as well. Here's the pitch:
- Date: April 14
- Time: 7:00
- Location: TBD, Twin Cities (will depend on how many people want to come, but I'm thinking either The Craftsman or The Red Stag Supper Club based on feedback so far)
- Cost: TBD, maybe in the $60/person range including booze (I will work with the restaurant and see what I can swing)
I've recently started an open Facebook Group called I Joined a CSA/Farmshare, which I invite you to join (regardless of where you live). And if you have any interest at all in the meal itself, please contact me at lee@simplegoodandtasty.com, and I will send you the Facebook invite. If it works out, I'm hoping to turn this into a monthly event. We'd love to have you eat with us. It promises to make both bellies, bodies, and minds happy.
